How to Clean Out Your Home with a Dumpster
When you’ve lived in the same place for a while, especially a larger property, it’s easy for things to pile up without you even realizing it. When you have plenty of storage you don’t feel pressed to let go of your belongings, even when you have more than you can handle. Whether you’re moving to a new location or you just miss having the extra space, cleaning out your home can be overwhelming if you don’t know where to start. Rental dumpsters are a great option for anyone looking to do some deep cleaning, replace their furniture, and let go of old possessions. We will walk you through how to go about getting a dumpster and how to get started cleaning out your place.
Sort & Organize
Before you order a dumpster, you should start to think about what you really want to get rid of, and be as specific as possible. This will help you decide on a size later. Go through every room of your home, and don’t forget the attic, basement, and garage where junk can really build up easily. Also make sure to go through closets in the hallways and the bedrooms. It’s great to get as many family members involved as possible so that you can be sure you aren’t tossing anything someone else might care about!
Decide on a Size
Now that you know what you want to get rid of, you can decide on a size for your dumpster rental. Most dumpster rentals come in 10, 15, 20 and 30 yards. For most smaller residential cleanups, 10 and 15 yards should be just fine. 20 and 30 yard containers are really ideal for commercial projects.
